Location

This year’s conference will be held September 16-18, 2015 in Napa Valley, California at the Napa Valley Marriott Hotel and Spa. The conference will feature speakers who are professionals in the industry, evening events, networking opportunities, and “Hot Topic” roundtable discussions of the latest news and issues in the industry.

Call for Papers

Attendees are encouraged to submit topics of their own for discussion as well. The PDCA Commercial Forum invites individuals to submit a paper on a topic of interest to commercial painting contractors. Papers should be one to two pages in length and will be distributed by the presenter at the conference. The presenter will discuss the subject, answer questions, and engage the conference attendees. All topics of interest to Commercial Painting Contractors are welcome and should be submitted no later than August 1, 2015 in order to be included in the schedule. Now available: Bring your spouse for a weekend getaway! Spouse rates have just been added. Price is $150 (Includes evening activities. Does not include conference attendance)

The conference is a popular event that has limited reservation opportunities – only 50 spaces are available in 2015. Registration for the first attendee from a company is $350, and additional attendees from the same company may register at the reduced rate of $250. This fee includes lunch and dinner on Thursday and Friday, as well as all presentations and events. There will be a golf tournament opportunity available for an additional $200, and will tee-off on Wednesday morning.

The PDCA Commercial Forum recently had their annual conference, bringing PDCA Members and non-members together for a weekend of education aligned for commercial painting contractors. View photos from the event below.

Presented by Ralph Trallo

Past President and CEO of Cannon Sline, a national industrial painting contractor, Mr. Trallo has forty-five years experience in construction management including thirty years in the industrial painting industry. He provides independent consulting services to the industrial painting industry  and instructor of Project Management, Contract Language & Painting Estimating Courses for SSPC.  

In this seminar, Mr. Trallo will discuss the transition from being an owner/operator to managing a large operation including relinquishing authority and going from “hands on” to “hands off.”  He will talk about finding the business and resources to grow including expanding business opportunities, acquiring working capital, staffing and hiring trades people.  He will cover contract management, internal controls and employee relations.
